The Bible presents marriage as a picture of God’s undying love for a people so unworthy that though divorcing them, his redemptive plan is so marvelous that he transforms them in a people worthy of restoration through the work of Christ. Once the amazing story of God’s love for his people is understood, it then provides the guidance for how Christian earthly marriages should be conducted.
